INDICATIONS:

People suffering from cirrhosis of the liver, congestive heart failure, or nephrotic syndrome like kidney disorder are treated with fluid retention (edema) by Spironolactone. This medication is also recommended for the prevention or treatment of hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood).

USES:

Spironolactone can be given for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure. Normalizing the level of blood pressure can prevent heart attacks, strokes and kidney issues. This medication is also useful in removing excess fluids and improving breathing condition in order to treat swelling (Edema) caused by certain conditions (such as heart failure, liver disease).

• Vomiting
• Headache

The condition of lightheadedness can be minimized by getting up slowly from seated or lying position. Notifying a doctor or pharmacist is compulsory if any of side-effects persist or worsen.
